The Sonoma County Public Law Library is located in the County Courthouse at 600 Administration Drive, Room 213-J in Santa Rosa, CA 95403.

It is a reference resource for legal research, supported by the community and open to the general public.

Library hours:  Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
                         Friday  8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
                         Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.


This site is composed of five basic areas:

ABOUT THE LIBRARY contains information about the library's funding and financing program, the fee-based services schedule, circulation policy, library services, rules and details about the collection.

RESEARCH LINKS is an alphabetical collection of links to over 30 topics of interest to the legal researcher. Included are links to California and Federal law, practice areas, forms and computing. Suggestions for additions to this section are greatly appreciated.

LEGAL PROFESSIONALS is an area designed to serve local law firms and to provide information about local attorneys to the general public. 

LOCAL GOVERNMENT links to sites sponsored by Sonoma County and cities within the county.

COMMUNITY LEGAL RESOURCES offers information about local legal resources available to the general public. In addition, we have links for Consumer Legal Resources, the state has self-help information here.

Information about the SONOMA COUNTY COURTS can be obtained from their new web site, including the Sonoma County Rules of Court and Tentative Rulings.

Most of the information accessible at this site consists of links to other sites. The library provides the links to the information, but has no control over site currency or content.
