Opening doors to permanent housing and opportunity
The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (CDC) is dedicated to creating homes for all in thriving and inclusive neighborhoods. The CDC was established in 1978 as the County's public housing authority and is Sonoma County's lead agency for housing and homeless programs.
The Sonoma County Housing Authority (SCHA) is an award-winning local public agency that provides safe, decent and quality affordable housing and supportive services to eligible persons with limited incomes.
The Community Development Commission's mission is to create homes for all in thriving and inclusive neighborhoods. We strive to do this by making strategic investments in housing and capital projects to ultimately connect where people live to where they work, play, and experience community.
A draft of the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) assessment, formerly known as the Assessment of Fair Housing, for the participating jurisdiction of Sonoma County is now available for public review. The draft AFFH is a requirement from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) of all participating jurisdictions of federal grant programs.
