A statewide general election is scheduled to take place on November 3, 2026. Offices up for election include Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Controller, Treasurer, Attorney General, Insurance Commissioner, State Board of Equalization, United States Representative, State Senator, Member of the State Assembly, school district governing boards, city/town mayors, city/town councils, and special district boards of directors. There will also be judicial retention elections for certain Court of Appeals and Supreme Court judges. Finally, the following offices may appear on the ballot if no candidate received a majority of the votes in the June 2, 2026, Primary Election: Superior Court Judge, Superintendent of Public Instruction, County Superintendent of Schools, County Supervisor, Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector, and County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor.
