A cannabis manufacturer is an establishment that produces, prepares, compounds, packages, or labels manufactured cannabis or cannabis products. 

Cannabis Land Use Permit

Cannabis manufacturers are allowed in the industrial zones (MP, M1, M2, and M3) and will require a minor use permit from Permit Sonoma.

Permit Sonoma reviews use (discretionary) permits. Each application is reviewed and conditioned on a case-by-case basis. Each permit is subject to public notification and environmental review. A minor use permit may be approved administratively without a public hearing if one is not requested by the public.

Building, Well and Septic Permits

Fire Prevention Permits, Review, and Inspection

Fire Prevention will review all Cannabis Manufacturer applications with structures meeting certain criteria and be responsible for inspecting and monitoring for compliance.

Cannabis Health Permit

Edible manufacturing businesses will require a health permit from the Department of Health Services.
