Emergency Public Information Hotline

Emergency Dial 911

If it is a life safety emergency, call 9-1-1.

During and after a major disaster, the Public Information Hotline can be activated to receive calls from victims, concerned citizens, volunteer agencies, other community assistance groups, and TV/radio/newspaper reporters. The Hotline Calltakers provide the most current information available and, as necessary, route the calls to the appropriate resource.

Examples of information provided:

  • Road conditions
  • Evacuations and shelter locations
  • School closures
  • Health and safety issues
  • Where to go for help
