Alert and warning test planned for Petaluma on February 9

The County of Sonoma and the City of Petaluma will conduct a targeted emergency alert and warning test on Monday, Feb. 9 in two emergency zones in Petaluma. The exercise will be a test of the Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) for the emergency zones of PTL-011 in east Petaluma, and PTL-003A in west Petaluma. The alerts will be sent out between 1 and 3 p.m. This is not an evacuation exercise. This will only be a test of the alert and warning system. Read full story
